WAHOO ! SHES SIXTY-TWO

62.

What the hell does that mean, whatever we make it mean I guess. I Think it's a milestone or a new beginning or a beginning. The government has said that at age 62, someone could retire. Some arbitrary date at which Social Security said you don't have to work anymore. So, what is work? Is work a job that you're paid to do? Is work, taking a dog for a walk? His work getting out of bed in the morning? Is work and doing things you love to do? What the hell is retirement?
So this is the world created around, my lovely sister, lots of questions and answers that we make up. So there are questions, and there are answers and there are stories that we make up. So what do we really know?

I know that I have known Jeanne Magill for 59 1/2 years. And she has been different, every single day for 59 1/2 years. She is different today than she was yesterday, and she will be different tomorrow than she was today. I have loved my sister, every day for 59 1/2 years, most of those days I liked her. Some of those days I didn't like her and some of those days I didn't let myself know who she really was. What I know is that my sister has struggled, survived, toiled, triumphed, loved and been loved and has changed the lives of thousands of people who she's come in contact with. She can light up her room when she walks in, and she can scare the B'jesus out of people with look........................

So what does it mean 62? For me it means that Jeanne Magill has reached a landing on the stairway of life and the opportunity to pause and reflect on the past.
And then look out at the world from her landing and shout.....
look at me I'm beautiful and powerful and watch what I do next...
You go girl, I'm watching...
